A couple of support packages designed and built by Microsoft include graphical enhancement via the use of Direct X. Alongside enabling graphic cards to unlock additional feature's, it also enables the support for applications to recognize Xbox 360's game controller. Often times we come across a Xinput1.dll error whereby the game and or controller refuses to respond. This tutorial will guide to resolving the issue regardless of XINPUT1_1.DLL, XINPUT1_2.DLL or XINPUT1_3.DLL or all of them.
Note: As a prerequisite please make sure your BIOS, chipset and graphical drivers are upto date prior to proceeding with the following steps.

- ■Open your web browser of choice and type www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 into the address bar and hit enter.
Do note: At the time of writing this tutorial, the link does not allow you to download the executable. Please use this link here to download the web installer.
■Click on the Download and save the executable in a suitable destination
■Locate the executable and initiate the installer in an elevated command, i.e; Right click installer>Run as Administrator
■Accept the license agreement and click on Next
■If you're not interested in installing the Bing Bar then uncheck the box and click on Next
■The installer will download the necessary files from Microsoft's servers which will take some time depending on your internet connection.
■Once installation is complete click on Finish to close the installation Window.
You should now be able to run your application without any complications or error messages.
