How to Create the Best Character in Skyrim

Creating the absolute best character in Skyrim is mainly up to personal preference. You can become a great assassin, a great mage, or a great warrior, and if they fit your play style, then that is the best character for you. But if you are looking at pure numbers, and knowing you can't always get a sneak attack against every target you run across in the world of Skyrim, a warrior is going to be the best character.

Step 1)Focus on getting your smithing and alchemy levels up as soon as possible.
This may seem odd for a warrior to be his own blacksmith and mixing potions, but when you get these up as high as you can you'll be able to craft weapons that can basically one shot any enemy, even dragons. The better the weapon itself, the better the scaling of damage when you swing it, no matter what your skill level in the weapon itself is. Not sure how to level these up quickly? Check out my separate guides on how to do that located here and here.

Step 2)Collect regents and craft a fortify smithing potion.
Before you make this potion, I would suggest wearing equipment that increases your alchemy, if you also level up your enchanting you can enchant your own set of alchemy fortifying gear to increase the level of the smithing potion you will create. Any added benefits from gear or potions will add up even after you have reached level 100 in the skill they are boosting. You can also create a potion to increase the level of your enchanting skills too, so drink that before you enchant anything with fortify alchemy for the best results. Once you've increased your smithing as much as you possibly can, it's time to upgrade your best weapons and armor to the best possible legendary levels.

Step 3)Focus on improving your weapon of choice skill as well as your armor skill.
Now that you have the best weapon and armor you can possibly have, you can finally focus on improving your skills with those weapons and armor. I'd suggest a two handed weapon, as with this type of build those are the most likely to just one hit kill everything and that's what we're going for here. Might as well go with heavy armor as well since you won't need to be sneaky, just charge in and annihilate everything in your path. Once you have those skills to 100, and enough perks spent in them, you will be an unstoppable killing machine.

Keep in mind as well, that you can run an infinite loop on enchanting armor that increases your alchemy skill, and then creating a potion to increase your enchanting skill, and then make new alchemy armor, and so on and so forth until you can create a ridiculously high blacksmithing potion as well, as shown above. So the limit here is really in how much time you want to put into finding all the ingredients for this loop and performing it, but high level potions like this are basically game breaking because of how over powered they are. This can be handy in fortifying a set of weapons and armor to the point where they are just as good as dragon weapons and armor, but maybe with a look you prefer.
