Windows 10 has brought Bing Images to the fore as a great way to jazz up Office documents. Whether you want to brighten up a PowerPoint presentation or mock up a brochure in Word, a picture paints a thousand words. If you want to use Bing Images with Office on a Windows 10 PC, here’s how to do it.
Use Bing Images with Office on a Windows 10 PC
This method works the same regardless of whether you’re using Office 365 or an installed version of Office 2016.
1. Open an Office document.
2. Click the Insert ribbon and select Online Pictures.
3. Enter a search term into the Search Bing field.
4. Select an image from the results and click Insert.
The ability to filter by license is useful for avoiding any copyright issues but you can override it if you like. Once inserted, you can modify the image in the usual way.
Quick find images with Microsoft Edge
If you’re on the lookout for more images, load up Microsoft Edge.
1. Find an image you like and right click.
2. Select Bing Lookup (also called Ask Cortana if you have it enabled).
3. A pane will open on the right and will list alternative images or more information depending on what the image contains. For products, it will list places where you can buy it as well as alternatives. For a dish, you might see a recipe to make it or where to buy it.
