How To Get To The Center Of The Galaxy In No Man’s Sky

Reaching the galactic center of the universe is basically the closest thing the game has to an end. Once you do reach the core system you can continue your game and keep exploring though, so it doesn't completely end your adventure. You can reach the center by either attempting to travel directly there and ignoring the story line of the game itself, which will take significantly longer, or you can follow the Atlas story path to reach the center. For the purposes of this guide, we'll be following the Atlas story line.

Step 1)Do not sell your Atlas stones.

This can be one of the most frustrating steps of following this path. You are going to need to have ten of these stones with you when you reach the end of it, and each one takes up an inventory slot. They are quite valuable so it can be very tempting to sell them, but if you do it could prevent you from finishing the game through the Atlas path, and you'll have to go the long way, or buy them off the galactic trade network for much more than you sold them for.

Step 2)Visit the Atlas Stations.

The game is going to direct you to these specific atlas stations that you are going to have to visit to progress. There are ten of them in total, and you can actually learn a lot of the alien languages from visiting these stations. Look for the orbs that are around the ground at the landing pads of each station, and if you are quick you can activate them to learn 10-15 words per station.

Step 3)Earn Milestones.

It may seem like the milestones in game are just the games version of achievements, but it turns out they are actually required to continue travel down the Atlas path. To completely finish it, you will need to reach the highest milestone rank of Galileo. Keep at it and you'll get there eventually, since just about everything you do in the game counts towards earning milestones.

Step 4)Upgrade your hyper drive.

The better your engines and the further you can jump with them, the quicker you are going to get to the galactic core. Spend some time improving upon your engines and it will help in the long run to get to where you are going.

Good luck, even doing the short trip to the core it is still going to take you a while to get there, probably at least 30 in game hours.
