A unified platform is what Microsoft envisioned and brought to the masses with the introduction of their Windows 10 OS. Users, with the aid of Cortana, can sync their smartphones to the desktop. There are some among us who'd like to have their phones and desktops untethered to one another. This tutorial will show you how to disable sync between your Windows 10 phone and PC.
While on a Windows 10 phone:
While on an Android phone:
You have now successfully turned off notifications using your smartphone.
While on a Windows 10 phone:
- ■Open Cortana.
■Tap the menu button in the top left corner.
■Tap on "Settings".
■Turn off the "Send notifications between devices" option by tapping on the slider.
While on an Android phone:
- ■Download and open the Cortana App.
■Tap on the menu button in the top left hand corner.
■Tap on "Settings".
■Tap on "Sync notifications".
■Turn off the notifications you don't want to sync to your PC.
You have now successfully turned off notifications using your smartphone.
