How to Change Desktop Background In MacBook Pro

Used in this example, macOS High Sierra has many built-in images that you can use as desktop background. However, be it a MacBook Pro or any other Mac computer, if you’re new to the platform, you may find it challenging to change the wallpaper. Here’s how it can be done with a few simple steps:

    Get to System Preferences
Ensure that no object on the desktop is selected, click the Apple logo from the top-left corner, and click System Preferences from the menu that drops down. This opens the System Preferences window. From here you can configure, customize, and manage all your macOS settings.

    Pick from the Pictures folder
Expand the Folders tree from the left pane, click to select the Pictures folder, and click your favorite image from the right pane. This sets the selected image from the Pictures folder as the desktop background. By default the Pictures folder is already added to the Folders tree, and all the images that the folder contains are displayed in the right pane. These can be your personal images, snaps captured and transferred from a camera or phone, etc.

This adds the selected folder to the Folders tree in the Desktop & Screen Saver window. Once added, the folder should be automatically selected, and all the images that it contains should be visible in the right pane. You can select the picture of your choice to set it as desktop background for your Mac computer.
