My 4gb RAM stick was faulty. Everything was taking for ever to load, Chrome tabs were dying as soon as I opened more than 2, random blue screens of death. I tried cleaning everything with wd-40, I also tried an eraser. I didn't find any solution online, other than throwing the stick in the trash.

WARNING
DON'T TRY THIS UNLESS YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT THE RAM STICK IS FAULTY

I took a steel wool sponge and rubbed it against the RAM stick's copper contacts with firm force. I was surprised to see that my computer didn't blow up when I booted it up, but all the problems were completely fixed. I can now open hundreds of tabs and they're all loaded and ready to be used. Remove all residues before putting the stick back in place.

I mentioned that I tried the eraser.
