Error 1006 can also be followed by a more in-depth message
saying that the device had a problem connecting to Netflix. In short, it has to
do with data that needs to be refreshed on the device. These troubleshooting
tips cover iPhones and iPads that are having issues with Netflix streaming.

Restart The Device

Restarting the device is the easiest fix and does not
require you to put in any login data. Depending on the generation of the Apple
product, it can take 1-2 minutes for a full restart.

1. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Power Off prompt
appears. Drag the button to the right to turn the phone off.

2. Wait ten seconds and then press the Sleep/Wake button to
force the device to boot up.

3. After it finishes booting up, try Netflix again.

Reinstall Netflix

Reinstalling the app is considered the brute force fix but
has a higher success rate. Doing this will delete any downloaded movies you’ve
acquired from the program. It will also require you to log back into the app,
so make sure to have that information ready.

1. Hold the Netflix app until it begins to shake.

2. Press the x that appears in the left hand corner of the
app and then Delete.

3. Go to the app store and find the Netflix app. Tap the
cloud icon to download it to your device.

4. When it finishes installing, tap the Netflix icon and log
into the account.

5. Try to stream a video and the error should be gone.
