Quest Text: Now that you've built a furnace, you can smelt some metal. According to Clint's instructions, if you place 5 copper ore and 1 piece of coal in the furnace, it should produce a copper bar.

The Smelting quest is not a challenging one and can be completed in a few minutes. The quest will be updated in your journal as soon as you complete the quest “Foraging Ahead.” The quest will require you will require you to gather one coal and fire copper ore and then create a copper bar by using your furnace.
Now it is not that hard to complete this quest, but you should know where you will get the materials required to create the copper bar and for that reason, this step by step walkthrough will help you:
1.To create a copper bar, you will first need two things; the copper ore and the coal.
2.You will find the copper ore inside the mines. Just mine the rocks and also break crates and barrels that are found in the mine and you may get lucky and find a copper ore. Remember, you need to gather 5 copper ore in order to have the sufficient quantity for the copper bar.
3.Secondly, you will need coal for the copper bar, and the coal can also be found in the mines. Just go through the mines, break the rocks and you will definitely get some coal. You need just one coal to have the sufficient amount to create the copper bar.
4.Remember to watch the fortune teller on TV to make sure you have good luck before you go for mining these ores as with good luck; you will have greater odds of finding the copper ores and the coal.
