Pierre could arguably be the person you see the most in the game. He is the owner of the general store from which you buy all of your seeds from.
There are other ways to get seeds but buying them at Pierre’s has to be the easiest and the most efficient method of doing so. You can also buy other stuff from Pierre as well such as a backpack upgrade and tree saplings, all to help you to make your farm the best in the town. You can also give Pierre personal gifts in order to increase your hearts with him. Doing that will unlock a few events which really explain the tale of his whole family. Another thing to note is that Pierre’s daughter Abigail is one of the 12 people that you can marry in the game.
Pierre’s Schedule:
Pierre can mainly be found behind the counter in his shop. The shop is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The store is closed on Wednesdays but you can remove that limitation by completing the Community Center. When he isn’t in the shop he is usually at home. He does go to the Saloon on Friday from 5:00 pm till 11:50 pm.
Gifts for Pierre:
To get the full benefit of giving gifts you should give Pierre the things he loves which are all the Universal Loves as well as Fried Calamari. He also likes Milk, Eggs, Dandelion and Daffodil.
You should be careful to not give him any Universal Hates or Dislikes as well as Salmonberry, Common Mushroom, Winter Root, Leek, Hazelnut, Snow Yam, Chanterelle, Holly, Purple Mushroom, Morel, Wild Horseradish, Fish, Tortilla, Corn, Garlic and Parsnip Soup.
Events with Pierre:
Once you start your friendship with Pierre, you get a chance that he will give you a gift and that chance goes up the more hearts you have with him but that is not all, once you are at 3 hearts he will send you a recipe for Blueberry Tart.
At six hearts a special cutscene occurs, you manage to accidentally find his secret magazine stash and if you refuse to keep his secret you will lose 2 hearts.

There are not that many quests with Pierre but there is one of note. On the 21st of the second Spring he will ask you to bring him Sashimi. If you do that you’ll get 1000g and another heart. He also frequently asks for stuff on the Help Wanted board through which you can get some easy money as well as some friendship points.
