Does anyone have any idea why the image quality is so crappy when i connect my gamecube to my tv?

I own one of these http://www.directtvs.co.uk/Viewpia [...] ersion.asp and connect the gamecube to it using normal composite cable (analog). The image looks blurred a lot.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks.

Your display device probably doesn't like 480i. It will display it but at a very low refresh rate which is not good for your eyes.

The Gamecube on a good day can only output 720x480p, but not even all games support this. Seeing as you're using a normal composite video cable, you're using 480i, but the quality will be even more degraded due to the input type. Heck, on my old SDTV there is clear difference between composite and s-video, so I can only imagine how bad it looks on your 1400x900 display.
