E7205 and 845pe

what is the fastest? E7205 with dual 266ddr or 845pe with 333ddr?

All of the benchmarks that I have read, have shown the Granite Bay/E7205 as being faster. If you can wait just a little longer the new Intel "Springdale" chipset is going to be faster than the GB/E7205 and have DDR 400 support.

The Granite Bay chipset is faster. Running regularly it isn't that much faster but if you OC it, it will totally outperform the 845pe chipset

Yo D,

I last heard the Springdale chipset will be shipping to mobo makers sometime Q2 2003..........that is if the JEDEC can set a standard for DDR400. Who know what will really happen & when. With the expected high prices of the Granite bay chipset mobos, I shudder to think what Intel will be asking for the Springdale chipsets & our cost of the mobos.
