C51-series to help Nvidia move into the mainstream PCIe chipset market

i turned on my PS3 today and nothink, it flash's a yellow light and then a red one continues flashing along with 3 beeps.

i tried it about 20 times and removed the hard drive as i heard it can make them boot without it, all of this was to no avail.

i cant back up the hard drive as my main pc is in bits so i dont want to send it back for replacement as i will lose everythink on the hard drive.

does anyone no of a quick fix ( or a not so quick one if it comes to it )

any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's likely your system is dead and will need to be sent in for repairs. There are reports of the hard drive becoming corrupt during failed firmware updates, but the behavior your describing does not sound like it. With the firmware issue, the system would often turn on, but after saying Sony Computer Entertainment, the cross media bar would never show up.

 

Sorry for your bad luck; hopefully Sony fixes it under warranty.
