How stable is the via PRO266 chipset for P3

i m buying a mainboard (for my second system) built on Chipset VIA PRO266 its a chaintech 6VJD2 MB

any info abt the mainboard or the chipset..?

Yes, it sux, get a BX chipset board. I'll sell you an Abit BE6-II for $60, or you can buy it for around $90 on eBay.

Seriously, the old BX is faster. If you REALLY think you need the faster AGP of newer chipsets, get an i815EP chipset board, Compgeeks is selling a nice one for $31.

But what about DDR? DDR does nothing for the PIII. It CAN'T do anything for the PIII becuase it's capped by the CPU bus.

My advice, if you are getting an Intel processor, get an Intel motherboard.
