Yes, it sux, get a BX chipset board. I'll sell you an Abit BE6-II for $60, or you can buy it for around $90 on eBay.
Seriously, the old BX is faster. If you REALLY think you need the faster AGP of newer chipsets, get an i815EP chipset board, Compgeeks is selling a nice one for $31.
But what about DDR? DDR does nothing for the PIII. It CAN'T do anything for the PIII becuase it's capped by the CPU bus.
