Yep. Too much work for us, pls redo.

You will need a CPU HS, it doesn't come with one, get a good one, don't scrimp here.

You will need a quality air cooled case too. And older one with 2 80 MM fans will not be enough. I suggest at least 3 120mm fans built into the case.

Heya,

Great card and cpu; that's your main thing right there for these games. Should be great.

Very best, :)

A better CPU option:
- Opteron 1210
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819105219
Since it has 2Mb L2 (vs 1Mb L2) cache and is cheaper!! Overclocks from 1.8Ghz to 3.0Ghz with a decent cooler.

I have recommended that deal to my flatmate (which he is going for).

If your going to spend that much on a vid card, get better ram and a decent PSU.

+1 Its not worth spending more than:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819116052
on an AMD CPU since the Intel Pentium will give it a run for its money. A proper C2D (with full cache) will eat it alive!!

Hence my suggestion of the AMD Opteron 1210 which is a good performer for the price.

Personally I think you would be better off with:

... for the AMD route

Newegg seems to be a lot cheaper than that Tiger Direct place...

In my experience the cheap Ultra powersupplies are not very reliable. Ultra X3 are very nicely built (but v. expensive)!!

Yeah go with Newegg and an Intel processor.
