Ever so often I log in to Windows messenger and find out I was
already logged in. It seems there is a copy of Windows Messenger
running in the background I can not see. Is there anyway to make sure
I see the icon everytime I am on?

This can happen if Windows Messenger is set to "Allow Messenger to run in the background". Some process, such as OE can load it, when needed, with the background switch, and its already loaded and running.

Thank you. I have removed the check for "Run in Background".
Hopefully that will take care of it.
