When playing game like Crysis on Vista I lsot sound when there is a big explosion.
It also happen with Bioshock.

just can't understand that.
My setting are:
CPU: Pentium D 945 @ 3.4 GHz
GPU: Sapphire HD 4870
RAM: 2GB Corsair XMS2 DHX 6400 @ 800 MHz
Sound: Creative Audigy 4
Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E

I build that today!!!! still have to replace the CPU in some moths.

I was playing Crysis at High Settings with no AA???

It is my CPU or my sound card?

Looking for support on the creative site? Hahahahaha! Seriously, pull it out, and use the onboard sound. It'll work much better. If you are determined to get your Audigy 4 working though, try this:

Creative basically took the position when Vista released that they weren't going to support anything that wasn't an X-Fi, and even then they did a horrendous job of cobbling together a fix.

Now, if I'm remembering correctly - the 'fan' that did all the work to make older cards work with the new driver package on Vista basically determined that the software 'wrapper' that allowed them to get the EAX stuff working in Vista would work with ANY sound card. Nice eh? All those expensive chips do exactly squat now in Vista since everything's being done in software.

I have the latest Audigy 4 driver.
Well if things continue like that then I think that I'll use the onboard sound which not that impressive.
The creative sound is much better.
