i play alot. i like games like Orange Box , Crysis , COD4 .
and im wating for the new coming games like Crysis Warhead, Brother In Arms, FarCry 2, GTA 4.
i know that these games require high specs, and i dont know if my PC would run these games nicely.
in fact, i dont prefer to buy new system, but if that is necessary then i will.
New processor, probably means new motherboard too... more RAM... and you'll be good to go Also that motherboard won't support Core 2 Duo so you'll need a new one.

IMO, see how they play for you then decide, never do anything based on what might happen, always react to these sort of things, it is the only way to be sure.
the saying of buy now never wait only applies to cutting edge stuff, if all you are wanting is a system to play future games, then buy tech when the games come out as that will ensure you can get the best you can afford at the time.
no one can predict the future, patience can be a virtue.
