then you need to check out the videos for it on gametrailers.com

it's pretty much a better version of GTA except with alot more toys and you a badass mercenary... oh yeah, and 100% destructible building etc. too...

the game should be good.

It's been released now hasn't it? Everything I have read about it made it sound kind of corny and buggy.

We have two reviews for Mercs 2, the first of which will go online either tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.

The game is nothing but a bad port. Bad optimization, low-res textures all over the place, lack of support for most of the standard PC monitor resolutions, AA not working, and more.
Anyway, I'm sure Rob will mention all of that in his review so you can read about it in-depth there.

Here are a few screenshots from the company that did the porting job (Livetech):

My personal opinion: PASS.

Im assuming those screens are low settings? They are fugly. I have also read a couple of things saying its a bad port.

I haven't played it yet, actually, so it won't be my review. And yes, we heard the PC port was not so hot.

No, these shots are taken at the highest settings.
These look pretty much similar to user-captured images of the game on max settings. Not to mention this is a company showcasing their work here, so they'd surely want to show it at its "best".

Those textures look horrible for a modern game...

This game was highly criticized by the Venezuelan goverment because it is about a dictator that cuts the oil to the US and stuff like that. It puts Venezuela on a militarized country and filled with corruption and poberty.
I'm Venezuelan and I love that this game came out, becuase the game really compares it to the venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, and he is like that, he's almost a dictator and he always talks about cutting the oil to the US, there's a lo of poberty nowadays becuase of him and corruption here is all over the place.

I say that this game rocks for that reason! Chavez OUT!

I'll check it out when the prices come down some...

But for now I think I am going to buy a copy of COD4 to hold me...
