Win xp pro install on MB Asus p2b-ds

Ello,
I am trying to update my server from nt4 to Win xp PRO.

Win2000 works but very slow,
detects 2 cpus, and only one is working,
very strange, in idle system cpu load about 50% to 60%???

And win xp start installing from cdrom and stops.
Give me an error someting like this after i press the power bottom. blue screen and "blaaaaaaaaa ACPI ERROR BLLLAAAA"
after several trys and formating the hole system i giveup.

SYSTEM:

MB P2B-DS
2X PIII 600MHZ
2X SEAGATE CHEETAH 15000RPM
512MB RAM PC133 ECC
SCSI U2 ONBOARD
ETC.
I HAVE THE LAST BETA BIOS FROM ASUS.
I JUST REINSTALL THE GOD OLD WINDOWS NT4 SP6.
AND ALL MY SOFTWARE.
BUT I ILL GIVE A TRY AGAIN,
SOMEONE? WHAT HAPPENS ???

LOL, dude, this might seem a little obvious once you hear it...have you considered DISABLING ACPI in BIOS? Also, ACPI problems are often caused by IRQ sharing between bus mastering devices. Try setting PNP OS to NO in BIOS so your board will assign your card's IRQ's instead of winblows.
