Hey all, I've been building Pentium 4 systems for quite a while, but now I have to build a relatively inexpensive system for my girl-friend, and I was thinking of going with an AMD XP. I'm only familiar with a few board makers, Asus and Gigabyte being my favorites, and was wondering if anyone could point out some good AMD board makers. Also if anyone knows of any good, relatively inexpensive boards (around $100) that you've had success with I'd love to hear what they are. I'm not sure if I want to got with integrated video or not yet. Thanks.

Well, if you're going non integrated graphics, then i'd go for one of these

Either the
Epox 8rda (about $90 or so), the 8rda+ with 5.1 sound is about $10 more
MSI K7N-L2 $100 roughly

if you need integrated graphics, then i'd get the Epox 8rga+ or the MSI K7N-GL2, both will run around $130 or so

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

If you buy nForce2-IGP mobos, then you MUST equip it with (at least) Dual DDR333. Expect poor system and 3D performance from single channel IGP system
