Hey all,

ASUS A7N8X Deluxe:

Built in ethernet? How good is it (ehternet), and if it doesn't come with ehternet, is it easy to install an ethernet card? Are good ones cheap?

Built in RAID-0? If not, are basic, RAID-0, controllers cheap and easy to install?

non-Deluxe: does it have any of the above features?

What are the differences between to the two boards?

What Mobo would you recommend that has these things for an AMD?

'''''for an Intel? thx.

Built in ethernet is perfectly fine. It's getting hard to find boards without it these days.

It's got RAID on the Serial ATA controller. You can get converters to use IDE drives. Aftermarket controllers will work too.

Non deluxe has built in LAN but no RAID.

Main difference is what you mentioned, plus firewire, dual LAN and better audio. I would recommend this board. For Intel (although it isn't out yet, you have to wait) I'd go with the SIS 655 offering from Gigabyte.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.

do you mean the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe has support for hardware RAID-0 or comes with onboard hardware RAID-0?
