do not buy from dabs or maplin, they are very expensive.from experience i have found that the best places for components in the uk are:
Ebuyer-Masses of stuff at great prices.
Komplett-Not as much stuff but often cheaper than Ebuyer for memory and cpus
If you shop at these two you can knock at least £100 off your price- you can get a sapphire 9700 pro at ebuyer for about £260 for example-that's £50 off already.

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]
Edited by ad_rach on 02/04/03 11:31 AM.

no problem.be sure to get yoyr stuff from them- i used to pay over-the-odds at dabs etc before i knew about those two so don't make the same mistake as me.dabs have good service and massive variety of items-more even than ebuyer-but they charge much more.

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]

I agree, ive used dabs before and theyre massively overpriced. I would also suggest looking at Microdirect as they have good prices and seem to have a better range than komplett.

Thanks again i've managed to get the price down to £1772 ,so far.

Though in my searching I found the Sapphire 9700 pro ultimate.

The only place i've found that has it is DABS at £335.

Though with the overall saving made so far it still cheaper over all.
