for some reason when i play CoD4 i don't need the disc in the drive anymore, i open it by going inside
D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare because i can't create a shortcut on my desktop. I am not using any crack or virtual drive and this is a real copy.

Why is that a problem, and why cant you make a desktop shortcut?

what do you see when you try creating shortcut? Some kind of errors?
