Requirements for max everything in Bioshock

I'm buying a new computer and I especially want it to be able to run Bioshock, but on max resolution, textures, antialias, etc.
Where can I find the requirements? I need to know them before buying.

Bioshock runs quite well. You should be fine with todays mediocre HW.

get a 4850 and e7200 with a p45 mobo and you can't go wrong :)

Bioshock isn't demanding at all by current standards. Get a normal gaming pc and that will do it. ...However remember this...

ANTIALIASING works like tool, not a graphics quality setting. Cut it at 4x maximum, anything else is plain unnecesary and will DESTROY performance.

Tip #2: the unreal3 engine that powers Bioshock dies (performance wise) when enabling AA... so be humble at it.

I see... Well I can't live without AA, but 4x is just the amount that's enough for me. Thanks for the tip :]

Heya,

At really high resolution, you really won't have that big of a deal with AA standards. 4x is great at high resolution. Try 1600+ resolutions with 4x and 8x AA and screen shot it. See if you can really tell a real difference. Especially at the 1900+ resolutions. AA was really something that made drastic changes at lower end resolutions (1024x768 for example), but at the upper side of things, you'll just not see that difference as much.

BioShock will run at absolutely max everything on a modern card. I mean, the 8800gt can run it like that and it's a 2~2.5 year old card now. The HD 4850 will do it without even breaking a sweat.

No problems with that, I've been playing Majora's Mask @ resolution 640x480, AA 4x, and the AA was perfect enough for me, so with a higher resolution it will be even better :]
If bioshock has such low requirements, then will this setup run UT3 so beautifully as well? Because I was taking Bioshock as a weighting stone, and now I see it doesn't work this way...

Unreal Tournament 3 isnt that power hungry, I'd say no more than bioshock. I can max out UT3 with one of my 4850's while still playing music or watching tv on my other two screens connected to my other 4850.

If you want to play UT3 and Bioshock well, you could...buy a PS3!! :D
