Hey guys,

I just got my rig working and installed vista ultimate. I installed call of duty 4 and went to play multiplayer. it starts up part way and then crashes and says iw3mp.exe has stopped working. I then un-installed the game, restarted and re-installed and I still get the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? would patching it fix it? Also I able to play cod4 in single player with problem but not multiplayer.

plug something into the microphone slot - passive speakers will do (although obviously a microphone is best....)

Any idea why that works. I had the same problem, plugged in a mic and sure enough game fires right up.
