Help/Opinion Required on PC Components

Hi ppl,

Ive recently set-up a computer business and have a Supertest battle in a PC magazine in the coming months, but ive a slight problem choosing the right Hardware.

Which of the 4 component types below would produce the highest, PC Mark 2002, 3DMark2002/03, Sysmark 2002 SCORES???

Right heres the choices.

Graphics Card:
Hercules 3D Prohpet 9700 Pro, HIS Excalibur 9700 Pro, Sapphire 9700 Pro. MSI Geforce 4 Ti4800 VTD.

Motherboard:
Asus A7N8X Deluxe, Asus A7V8X KT400, Asus A7V333, Gigabyte GA7VXP KT400, Abit KT7 MAX-2.

Memory:
Corsair 3500 CL 2, OCZ 3500 EL DDR CL 2.

Harddrive:
Western Digital Caviar 7200 or Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 7200

Which would be better: Nforce 2 Chipset with 2 DDR modules or KT400 chipset with 1 DDR Module.

nForce2 with either 1 or 2 modules. With one module it's still better than the KT400, with 2 it's even better still.

IMHO of your choices..............

Sapphire 9700 PRO
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
OCZ 3500 EL DDR CL2 using 2 modules/sticks of DDR
WD 7200 rpm with 8mb cache

Also make sure that you have a good high power PSU, do not skimp on a cheap 300 watt PSU............go big like a 431 or 550 watt Enermax unit.
