They've taken a bit of a beating in the (gaming) press due to their inclusion of SecuROM. Will EA have learned their lesson or are they still going to try to cram it down our throats after the Spore debacle?

They are not learning anything. They have announced the same as the current Spore / SecuRom settings on several pending games.
I am not advocating piracy, I buy all my software except those which come with this un-installable rootkit. These games make theft (via download) appealing to even those of us who would normally not be tempted.
