Mobo/chipset

I am planning on building my 1st PC (2 Dells to date). I know most everything I want to include, hardware-wise; but I'm not sure what is the best motherboard and chipset to buy. I'm going for a max P4 with max memory - Any recommendations on the mobo/chipset?

Jake if you want seriousness, How much money are you investing in this, and what do you expect to include,(IE;Monitor,Mouse,Keyboard??????)What?

And keep in mind, if you say money is no option, even the fastest computer you build today will be dethroned tomorrow, and AMD is far from dead.
