I have Windows XP and when I try to log on I get a blue screen stating
something about memory dump and I can't log into my computer. What is
it...and how do I get rid of it?

Thank you.

Try inserting your WinXP CD at boot time. In the setup menu of the CD select
Repair.

Try booting up to the cd and go to the recovery console and type in chkdsk
/p and see if it helps. if it doesn't I would try different memory.

thanks

The Blue Screen is telling you *exactly* what the problem is.

If you can provide us with the complete *verbatim* content of the blue
screen then it should be possible to tell you what is causing the
problem and what steps are necessary to repair or to recover from it.

There are tens of thousands (at least) of different possible
situations than can result in a blue screen error and a memory dump.
Without the detailed information about your specific error it is not
possible to give you any specific advice.
