Interview conducted by Travis Meacham and Rob Wright.
We sit down with Jay Wilson, lead designer for Blizzard's action/RPG extravaganza Diablo III, to talk about some of the technical and artistic decisions that led to the game's current aesthetic, and how fan reaction affected those decisions.
So, now we know they're going to add two more classes in the first version of the game. They already have:
- barbarian
- witch doctor (combo of the D2 necromancer and druid, IMO)
- wizard (heir to the D2 sorceress).
The 4th class has to be some sort of Amazon. Or maybe they'll keep that for the first expansion pack just to make sure we have a serious reason to buy it
That leaves us with two classes missing: assassin and paladin. I hope it's the assassin. All those traps were a lot of fun to use.
