I'd get the Leadtek or Epox nForce2 board, cheaper than the Asus board, easier to set up, faster than VIA, etc.

I went with the A7V333-X/L from newegg for $85. It has the KT333. I went with the 333 because the 400 doesn't give a whole lot and via is releaseing the 400A within a month. If you want a 400 the wait till boards start using the new revision.

As Crashman said, the Nforce2 boards are very nice and easy as well, but they are more spending also.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

No, they're not. The difference typically is insignificant. For instance, the prices of <b><A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=22&manufactory=1283&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1" target="_new"><font color=red>Abit NForce2 and KT400</A></b></font color=red> are almost the same.

Agree. And in Singapore, A7V8X Deluxe is actually SGD$20 more expensive then A7N8X Deluxe. WTF!!!

My PC has gone to hell... because it's a killing machine...

Thats just one company, not the trend. But I agree, get the NForce unless money is a issue. the KT333 is cheap and performs almost the same as KT400. Some people don't like VIA, and they ahve that right, but I have never had a problem with them that wasn't caused by my own stupidity.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

I don't have problem with VIA either. In fact, I've been using 2 of them KR7A-RAID (KT266A) and KX7-333R (KT333) as well as another one is hybrid KG7_RAID (AMD+VIA), and they work great. Just right now, if you're going to buy a new mobo, it makes sense to buy NForce2's chipset based when the differences of their prices can be neglectable.

I love my epox 8k3a which is based on the kt333, the ram will run at 400mhz with the proper fsb settings tho if you want the best I would get an nforce 2, epox 8rda or asus.

In battle Israel uses F-16's and big ass tanks, Palestine uses small children strapped to bombs. Which do you support?
