Verizon Wireless offers 100 kpbs Internet nationwide;
the product is called National Access. Last year, they
launched an enhanced service, Broadband Access,
in test markets San Diego and D.C., with 400 kbps.
A few months ago, VW decided to expand BA to other
major cities. Walter Mossberg of the Wall Street
journal said that New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles
would have BA by the end of 2004, although he didn't
present that list as an exhaustive one.

I've heard from some VW salespeople that BA
might become available in the Bay Area in June 2004.
Customer service can't tell me anything about expanded
availability of BA.

I'm actually looking forward to paying $80 per month for BA,
so that I can have wireless 400 kbps nearly everywhere.

Does any of you know when VW's Broadband Access will become
available in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Thanks in advance.
