Crysis Warhead is so far so good. Lovin it. I do notice a drastic downgrade in graphics though and its annoying. What it is, is the draw distance seems to be lower and when far away from something or not looking at it, all detail is smoothed over for performance. Screw that I want detail all the time. If I walk 10 feet away from an object it becomes all blurry, smoothed over, and blended together. How can I fix that? Also, a lot of the textures like the wood on the walls, tables, the metal on the Hummers all seems to be a much lower quality detail. I have everything on the highest possible Enthusiast graphics. It shouldn't be doing that. Can this be fix? If not, the game is still rad and I guess I can live with a little less to gain a whole lot more.
My Specs:
Core 2 Duo E6600 OC 3.3GHz FSB 1468 Mhz
EVGA 8800GT 512MB Superclocked (Core 700, Mem 1000)
2GB Corssair XMS2 DDR2 800 (4-4-4-12) 2.1 volts
700w OCZ GamerXStream PSU
EVGA 680i AR Mobo FSB 1468 Mhz
320GB Hard drive 16MB cache 7200RPM
Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Windows XP
and then save the notepad into your main crysis warhead directory as:
autoexec.cfg
and then your done... although there is a bug on one of the levels which you can't get past if you have texture streaming enabled... so to get past that you have to disable it... save and then re enable it
Its the one with the train... its like Hell something... forget exactly
but it makes textures and veg. look much much better than original game... also lighting looks a lot better i think and theres still some texture pop-in but i don't know how to fix that... in the old engine it was easily fixed but now even with texture streaming set to off... it still does it a little bit on the smaller textures
