Problem with Crysis Warhead

Hey guys, I got this problem with crysis warhead I have never experienced until today. My game has been working flawlessly, no issues besides tinkering around with settings to get better frame rates. but for some reason when i started playing it today my game is like hiccuping or something. it happens really quickly. it freezes and then moves real fast. but the process of freezing the jumping ahead real fast IS really fast. Like the game is moving really fast, even in the menu, the menu's load up faster than they are supposed to, and the little lights that move from left to right, move at a really fast pace. I am going to restart my computer to see if that fixes it or something but just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how this is happening and how to fix it I would really appreciate it thanks.
