I just bought a new HP Pavilion and installed some games on it when I first
got the games they all filled up the 1200 by 800 screen but now I reformatted
the hard drive and reinstalled all the drivers and softwear I have a ATI
9000IGP video card for some reson now the games dont fill the screen I set
them to to the highest setting but still there is a big gap on each side of
my screen can somebody please help!?

Hi,

Check your screen controls, as you are probably in a standard format instead
of widescreen. In addition to reinstalling the OS, you may also need to
separately reinstall the video drivers.
