Greetings all,

I'm trying to get a Linksys WMP54G working on Win98SE,
but it never sees the AP.

It works fine under XP (Netcomm NP6800 11b AP),
and I see many people online report they too are
unable to get it going on Win98SE.

Has anyone here ever had any luck with this?

I've tried changing most things -
SSID, WEP, drivers, slots, PCs...

ssid to broadcast. This will make it easier to see the AP.
You also need to get the latest firmare, drivers, and client software.

Greetings,

Thanks for your reply :-)

Yes,
I have SSID broadcast on,
Yes,
I have tried WEP on and off

I've tried just about setting there is,
but no,
it never works on Win98SE systems...

Seriously mate, I've done plenty of wireless networks, I know how it all
works - this setup works fine on XP, but it never works on Win98SE and I see
very many other users online also report complete failure to get it working
in Win98SE.

The issue is not how to get a wireless network running,
the issue is how to get a WMP54G working on Win98SE.

Thanks anyway :-)

Quentin
