Hey internets, I am having a few ongoing issues with COD 4 (actually a few games i play on my PC share this problem) Display problem, when the map is loaded and all the textures generated, etc. the display starts flickering with lines that are all over the screen. In single player its not a big deal, I alt tab to the desktop and Alt tab back to COD4. This seems to clear it up, Display is normal. In multiplayer the display will start flickering, at least once it will clear when i alt tab to desktop, but on the second time it happens, usually after a reload of a map or whatever, when i alt tab out to the desktop it is unreadable and skewed. when i alt tab back to COD4 its still flickering, when i alt tab back this is when i experience the rebooting of my PC.
Im thinking one of my Videocards might be overheating and causing this. I would know for sure but Ntune doesn't have tempurature display anymore and i haven't found a alternative app yet.
Anyways, I tried updating my videodriver and of course upgraded COD to 1.7.
I have had COD4 since last year, it sorta wound up on the shelf and i recently gave it a try again and just tried Multiplayer 2 days ago. Single player mode has no problems playing once i alt tab to clear flickering, but multiplayer i get maybe a round in and when it restarts the round i get flickering again and alt tab to DT and it reboots my PC.

PC is older

AMD 64 X2 4800+
Asus AN832-SLI Deluxe
2 eVGA 7900 GT KO
2 1gb Corsair Twin something or other
Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum
2 Seagate 500gb SATA HDD
1 Seagate 1tb SATA HDD
Thermaltake 750w PSU

Nothing overclocked.
WinXP Pro

Some advice would be helpful. ;)

Thank in advance.

Since i am suspecting my videocards are over heating i downloaded a little program called speed fan to take a look see. well it has my 7900's pegged at 62 &75. I bought one from ebay as they didn't had been discontinued. Im thinking buddy overclocked it & possibly still is. How can i verify this, is there a utility that i can use to see how the my cards are clocked? I haven't found anything that was recent, i almost installed forceware coolbits but its from mid 2004 and i don't think the current drivers would work well with it installed.

Using the system information in Nvidia Control Panel I found my videocards and noticed 2 things.

1 they have different mem clock speeds:
Card 1 - 747Mhz (1494 Mhz data rate)
Card 2 - 662Mhz (1324 Mhz data rate)

2 they have different BIOS
Card 1 - v.5.71.22.35.04
Card 2 - v.5.71.22.35.24

could these factor in to the display issues and rebooting?

well i yanked the card that was running hotter and now im getting only up to 52c under load so thats a huge improvement.
im thinking that maybe the voltage of the other card might be higher then this one and im not sure how i can find that out.
