Not sure if I am following you right. You click the stand-by button in windows or the wake button on your keyboard? Or do you hit the stand-by button on keyboard? Normally when hitting stand-by your putting your system into stand-by which is display off, just about everything off except the fans. You would need to move the mouse, hit a key, or hit a wake button to bring it back online.

I hope I didn't miss what you are trying to ask.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

Check your power management settings in the bios and in wondows. Some boards have options for the sleep mode that may just turn the screen off.

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!
