Why is my Lite on Sata drive not reading certain games

I just bought and installed the new Call of Duty world at war using my usual Lite on 20 x Sata dvd burner. But when i go to play single player it says it cant find the dvd. I also have 2 other Lite on dvd burners but they are IDE connections. These games run fine on my older IDE drives. Frontlines fuel of war and Crysis also have an issue with the Sata drive now wanting to work but every other game and disc I use works fine. Whats the deal, any one else having issues with these drives? Is it Lite On or because its a Sata drive? Ive never done a firmware upgrade on any drive but maybe this will fix my issue with these games? Thanks for any input.
