i am having problem with increasing ping and choke.I have googled a lot but no solution.SO i hope someone here might help me.When i join the server i use to have ping around 130 but then it will keep on increasing sometimes even upto 350 at same server.And lag is huge.i have tried with these numbers
rate 25000
cl_updaterate 100
cl_cmdrate 100
and also
rate 14000
cl_updaterate 70
cl_cmdrate 70
I also make sure nothing in background is running.

but no success.I am using 1mb connection.

What hardware are you using to connect to teh intarweb?

Not all routers are equal and some get tired and like to slow down over a session of anything that isn't just plain vanilla browsing.

you maybe right ,here is mine modem ATTRIE DB108 .Not sure how u gonna rate it.
