I am having problems with the pc system restore not automatically setting a
restore point.
Can anyone tell me where and how to set restore poings (and does the
restoration give more than one points daily?) /// and when I do need it, it
always states "system unable to return to that point ... etc.
Thanks all and,
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Both symptoms you describe are characteristic of restore point corruption.
This often, but not always, happens because of a virus infection.

When one or more restore points become corrupted, the only thing you can do
is to erase all restore points and start fresh. To do this, turn off system
restore for all drives, reboot, and turn on system restore. You should
create a manual restore point at that time, just so you have one. From then
on System Restore will take over and function as it normally does.

One or more of your restore points may have become corrupted.

All you can do at that point is turn off System Restore, reboot and turn it
back on. All your current restore points will be deleted but they're not
working anyway. Should work again after.

Thanks all for your responses
Gave them a try and I think it's going to function right now.
