On board sound

I'm thinking of getting an nforce 2 mobo and want to know if the sound storm on board sound is any good for games? Whats it comparable to. Is it similar to a hercules gamesurround 3? Any info appreciated!

It's better than Audigy & maybe better than Audigy 2. I wouldn't run a separate sound card now because the SoundStorm is such a great chip & on board. I only have one card in a slot & that's the vid card in the APG slot. PCI slots are all empty & case is a lot cooler that way.

If it ain't broke, take it apart & see why not!
