I just this today and the sound wont work. Both my PCI sound card and the onboard sound are installed and show up in the system overview option, and it says theyre working etc.

but in "sounds" until control panel, then under "audio devices" theres nothing there to select. Waaah.

Ok, first the video, now this...

Did you reinstall your operating system when you changed the motherboard? About 2/3 of the time, changing motherboards blows up the OS, the hardware differences cause all kinds of problems. This is especially true on NT derives systems like win2k and XP where the ide and chipset are detected only during installation...

Methinks you need to do a backup... then go with the trusty ole "format c:" ...

Aawe man......... No way. Really? That sucks!

I dont want to lose everything and reinstall everything. is that what you mean?

if so Ill wait a few days and just do it when my new hard drive gets here......

Hi. Well, did a clean install, stupid me thought the only way was to lose the whole hard drive. Haha. Well, I realized that wouldnt happen so I did it, and sound is AOK. Thanks!
