I searched for the guys post, but couldnt find it, Its not a big deal now since im using rc, but i would like to know how to prevent xp from deleting win 7 restores, the iinternet really hasnt been that much help.

Didn't the same thing also happen with XP and Vista? Would disabling system restore in XP correct the issue?

Had the same problems. Here are some of the solutions: (Also works with Windows 7)

I used the first one but the drawback is you cannot access your vista drive if you boot into XP.
