it will probably run fine. i can say for sure though that it plays well (i think on medium settings 1024x768) that it runs well with an AMD dual core 2.2 ghz and only an ATi X1950 GT. yea, my CPU has higher clocks, but on the back of the case, it says optimized for multiple cores. id say it'll run fine dude. get it and enjoy.
but uhh... if it doesn't run well.. you agree if you so choose to take my advice, to not sue me... thx
Here is a list of recomended ATI Radeon video cards from the official Fallout 3 site:
ATI HD 4800 series
ATI HD 4600 series
ATI HD 3800 series
ATI HD 3600 series
ATI HD 3400 series
ATI HD 2900 series
ATI HD 2600 series
ATI HD 2400 series
Your Radeon HD 3200 is above the 2400, 2600, and 2900. So I don't see why you would have any problems.
If you have already tried it with the 3200 would you mind posting wether it worked?
I am running it with the same processor but with a 8800 GT. It runs fine a lower resolution and with less anti-aliasing. Frame rate drops at 1920x1080 especially on the outdoor sections. I thought it was acceptable enough to finish the game + the DLCs.
If you are really picky and want smooth all the time, then it is time for an upgrade.
Bob_60, you do realize that the 8800 GT far outclasses the 3200, right? Like, they're nowhere remotely even close in performance? The link isn't exactly a comparison, but the 3450 is a lot better than the 3200.

Trkorecky: I was addressing the Pentium D 2.80 / Nvidia 9600 question from Lerxst09. The 8800 GT is still the better card - but Fallout 3 should still be playable if you are not too picky and run the AA low. The 3200 a different issue. Sorry, I should have been clearer.

you are running an older amd phenom processor which is notorious for being slow and power hungry. fallout is also dual core optimized not quad core. you will seriously be lagging hard with that processor and video card - expect to get less than playable fps even with really low settings. i would not waste the time and effort.
