Problems with web server

Hello,
I am trying to install and run an open source server but i get errors as apache doesnt run, i have tried IBserver, wampserver and I have tried downloading PHP, apache and mysql individually but apache gets errors
I cleaned all the apache files off the computer but still when i download it doest work.
I need to run it as a localhost on mylaptop and have even changed the pot to 8080 but no help can someone help

How about some details as to what versions you are trying to install, errors you get, steps you are taking to install it?
