I have a 5110 All-In-One printer that refuses to print. Initially,
there was a "carriage jam" issue, which resulted from the drive belt
slipping off of the pulley. After resolving this, the printer
intializes fine, but when I attempt to print anything... via the
control panel on the front of the unit or via a computer, the printer
"on" light flashes, acts as if it is printing, and then.... nothing. I
have also noticed that the motor which drives the carriage (via the
belt) is also constantly turning to the right. If I loosen the drive
belt, the motor is turning and turning to the right. However, there
are no error messages on the unit. Called HP support, cold reset the
unit via pushing # and 6 when booting it up, cleaned the encoder
strip... but issue remains. HP said something vague about gears not
being alinged. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.
