Went for in house, as you would expect the staff to be part of the community which builds trust in what they write.
If i want a review from another site i will navigate to it.
If i want flash games ill ask my 9 year old sister what the latest one is.
Very unhappy at the decision to change Tom's Games to a "Flash Games" site. So typical of the world today, cheap and cheesy over quality. Stupidity rules the day. Very sad situation.

No way I'm going to use Tom's Games to play stupid flash games. I may flee Tom's altogether as many other veterans have, for the greener pastures of HardOCP, FiringSquad, AnandTech, or any of the numerous tech sites I routinely visit.
I don't really know what else I can say... I'm disappointed with this turn of events, and I certainly didn't ask for, or even predict, this. I did already voice, with a lot more detail, what I felt, and my reasoning, over in Rob's original posting regarding this.
I think that their editors wanted to leave for whatever reason, so they decided instead of getting new ones to just turn the website into a cheap flash game website. No sane person would willingly make that sort of change without extenuating circumstances. I don't buy for 1 second the BS they gave about "the industry is going in a new direction" and "flash games are the future" nonsense.
I would say that the bad economy would be an "extenuating circumstance". They probably saved at least $120,000 by laying of 3 people and now are running a site with almost no overhead.
