Hi, I'm getting a new computer. It will have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 along with a 4 gigs of ram. My graphic card will be the XFX 260 Black Edition (its OC). I have a 19inch monitor and will be running Crysis at 1440x900. I was wondering what kind of frame rate I should expect on very high? Will it be smooth at such a low resolution or still no. I probabily won't have aa on or if I do it will only be 2x.

Any help would be great.

wow an aging 8800gts 640mb beats my 3.0ghz q6600 + hd4850 1gb.

maybe hes playin it on a 20" monitor but @ lower resolution, like 1024x700.

all i can tell you is that i can play it around 30-40fps (crysis:Warhead) @ "gamer" settings, which is "high" @ the old one. now considering you're opting for a 260, it has more juice to power it up to very high especially @ the resolution you're targeting which 1440x900.

OC'ing that q9550 to 3-3.2ghz will also help.

AA tends to turn Crysis into a slideshow for me. With no AA, you should be able to get playable fps at Very High. FWIW, the difference between High and Very High is negligible.
